On October 16, UMC Health System participated in the 2021 Lubbock Heart Walk. Located at Mackenzie Park, the walk is a way to raise heart health awareness and to help fundraise for research and technology needed to advance heart care.
Local businesses and individuals all came together to support this cause, and raised over $141,000, with UMC raising over $30,000! All of the funds will be helping:
- To save more babies and kids who have congenital heart defects
- Train thousands in life-saving CPR
- Fund groundbreaking brain and heart research
- Champion health equity for all
