UMC’s Cardiac Rehabilitation program was recently re-certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).
This is an indication of the level of care provided by our cardiac rehabilitation team and is one of the many ways our patients are receiving high quality care.
The AACVPR Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program Certification process is the only peer-review accreditation process designed to review individual facilities for following standards and guidelines developed and published by AACVPR and other professional societies. It was created to help facilities continually take care to the next level. Certification requirements evolve almost annually, with the bar being raised each time.
“This news confirms UMC Cardiac Rehabilitation will be certified for over a decade.”
This news confirms UMC Cardiac Rehabilitation will be certified for over a decade (12 years to be exact).
“Just like medicine, rehabilitation is always changing,” said Brittany Womack, UMC Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab Supervisor. “So, what we are saying by achieving this certification over and over is we are upholding the best standards. Our program is going above and beyond what is expected of us. Any patient sent to us is receiving the best rehabilitative care available.”
This accomplishment is one to be very proud of. Great job UMC Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab team!
