South Plains Great 25 was formed to recognize nurses in the South Plains who go above and beyond every day. This organization encompasses individuals from nursing schools, professional nurse organizations and hospitals and other nursing facilities in the region. This month, 10 of our very own nurses were honored at a banquet hosted by the South Plains Great 25 Nurses.
Our nurses honored were chosen based on five criteria: showing leadership qualities, being a role model, practicing compassionate caregiving, doing community service and making significant contributions.
Nurses are leaders of health and an integral part of care. But their numbers are dwindling. For this reason, one of the initiatives of the South Plains Great 25 Nurses will be to fund scholarships for future nurses.
We are proud to have nurses who not only strive for greatness but attain it on every level. Your great nursing skills are being noticed by the community.
