The UMC Cancer Center is pleased to announce the opening of the Adult Oncology Symptom Management Clinic, an after-hours clinic designed to help UMC Cancer Center patients be proactive in managing symptoms during treatment.

The UMC Southwest Cancer Center has been renamed the UMC Cancer Center. Although our name is slightly different, patients can expect the same multi-disciplinary, research-backed care that combines the expertise of Texas Tech Physicians with UMC’s compassionate care and technological advancements.

UMC’s Radiation Oncology team recently introduced new treatment technologies, in the UMC Southwest Cancer Center, that will change the face of care for prostate cancer patients forever.

June 2 was National Cancer Survivor Day, and this year, thanks to UMC Auxiliary Volunteers, we were able to send our survivors special gifts.

Transportation is a foundational need in today’s society, even more so for cancer patients travelling to and from treatments regularly. The lack of funds, or means, for travel is a barrier UMC and the UMC Southwest Cancer Center are helping patients overcome, thanks to help from the American Cancer Society.
