As you make the drive to the hospital, you may have noticed the view has just gotten better and better. That’s because "our construction team has completed the 10th Street beautification project"! Thanks to them, we have beautiful signage and paneling lining the street, more trees, and new landscaping and brighter LED lights. Every change they implemented to make the 10th street entrance to UMC more appealing, not to mention safer, really made a difference! This project was a direct result of employees speaking up on their employee satisfaction survey.
We want to take a moment to Manage Up our construction team. Throughout the duration of the project they did a phenomenal job managing expectations (at times, frustrations) and concerns as the project impacted traffic, among other things. They will also continue to work hard every day at maintaining 10 street’s beauty.
We also received much positive feedback from Texas Tech and the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Next time you drive into work, think about what a great job our team did!
LED streetlights were installed because they shine brighter, which helps employee safety.
