At UMC, we value and celebrate the hard work of our employees. After all, it is you who make the health system successful. We recently celebrated another Always Nurse event.
Patients receive a survey, in some cases multiple surveys, after receiving care at UMC. This allows us to know what we are doing well and what we need to improve on. We want to recognize our nurses who receive great feedback on these surveys every time.
We call them our Always Nurses. They are perceived as always responsive and communicating well. To honor their exceptional service, we throw a dinner to celebrate these nurses twice a year.
“We want to reinforce the impact our nurses have on patients and our community,” said Aaron Davis, Chief Experience Officer. “We hope it will help them and other staff see their value.”
We honored a total of 211 nurses! Two of those nurses received top recognition.
Nital Bhakta BSN, RN
“Nital has such a wonderful spirit. She is so kind and helpful, a true team player, and is so genuine with her patients.”
Sheila Young BSN, RN
Family Care Unit
“Sheila will do whatever it takes to ensure others’ needs are met. She is the most selfless person you will meet.”
Thank you, nurses for your hard work and dedication. You continue to make UMC the best place to receive care.
