UMC and the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center will present Dr. Melissa Sanford and Dr. Mohammad Ansari with an Endowed Professorship next week.
The UMC Endowment for Excellence was established in 1996 and was designed to promote excellence in clinical care, clinical programs and graduate medical education. Over the years we have honored 10 chairs and 3 professorships.
“We put this event on to recognize outstanding clinicians for their work at UMC and Texas Tech,” said Mike Ragain, Chief Medical Officer of UMC. “It’s a great way to also highlight the wonderful partnership UMC and the Texas Tech School of Medicine have. Each one could not exist without the other.”
Endowments are selected by a committee made up of UMC and TTUHSC School of Medicine leaders. Past endowments have: helped clinicians attend conferences, covered publication costs, enhanced scholarly activity, supported research and more.
