Last month, our pet therapy team partnered with Lexy’s Legacy to deliver gift baskets to patients at the UMC Cancer Center. They brought their wagging tails as well as 150 goody bags filled with towels, bottled water, lotion, and cross word puzzles in reusable bags for both kids and adults receiving treatment.
This is the second year that Lexy’s Legacy has partnered with UMC Cancer Center in delivering these bags and providing emotional support to our cancer patients. Many of the certified therapy dogs are rescues from local shelters, and we even have a certified therapy cat on their team.
Thank you for wagging your way into our hearts and spreading joy! Our patients are so happy and grateful to receive a fun gift while going through treatment.
