Maternity Classes

Even if you already have a child, the labor and birth process can be both joyful and overwhelming. Taking a Maternity Class at UMC can help bring a little more of the joy and a little less of the overwhelmed feeling! The benefits of attending a maternity class include, but are not limited to:

  • Your partner can learn about how to support you on the big day

In accordance with Governor Abbott’s declaration, UMC Maternity Classes will resume at a limited capacity on June 1, 2020. There are a few things we would like you to keep in mind when attending a Maternity Class at UMC:

  • Classes will be limited to 10 couples per class
  • Parents are strongly encouraged to provide and wear a mask to class
  • In order to ensure the safety of all who walk through our doors, UMC has staff taking temperatures at entrances
  • All classes are held in the East Tower Rushing Room/Family Education Room
  • We do offer both day and night classes to accommodate your schedule
  • *Yoga classes will not be offered in July. They will resume in August!
