Welcome Marisa Calder, Director of Revenue Cycle, Central Business Office

The UMC Southwest Cancer Center has been renamed the UMC Cancer Center. Although our name is slightly different, patients can expect the same multi-disciplinary, research-backed care that combines the expertise of Texas Tech Physicians with UMC’s compassionate care and technological advancements.

As most of you know, UMC has a goal of being a High Reliability Organization (HRO). This means, although we operate in high risk environments, we aim for ZERO preventable harm.

Although our Cardiac ICU and Telemetry departments are two separate departments, they work closely together to ensure our patients truly are receiving the most effective care.

UMC EMS has received the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline® EMS Silver Plus Award for implementing quality improvement measures for the treatment of patients who experience severe heart attacks.
