Congratulations Spring Grads!!

In the summer of 2017, Addyson Newberry began experiencing pain in her right hip. By November, the pain worsened and her mom, Kyra, an NICU nurse at UMC, contacted Dr. Michel Diab, Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon.

We have already set ourselves apart in our quality of breast care, but now we have even better to offer to our breast patients!

We hope to be simplifying your work day in the near future with a new software solution called Workday.

We are delighted to welcome Frankie Fike M.D., a board-certified Pediatric Surgeon, to the UMC Children’s Hospital as a part of our leading pediatric care team! She cares for all pediatric patients—from neonates in our Neonatal ICU to teenagers.

Our new kitchen is almost complete, and we are extremely excited for it! The new 6,000-square-foot space has many advantages for our Food and Nutrition team, including more space to prep, cook and work and brand new equipment that will help produce a wider variety of meals for patients, visitors and staff.

This summer, we have the privilege of welcoming the first class of Emergency Medicine Residents at UMC and the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. This is MAJOR and a first in our region!
