UMC's partnership with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center allows for Texas Tech's Department of Surgery to provide surgical care for the injured patient (including trauma surgeons, critical care coverage, burn surgeons and neurosurgeons).
UMC Children's Hospital offers many resources for families, such as the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center's Center for Superheroes, a Patient Family Advocacy Council, injury prevention programs and pediatric trauma outreach and education.
An integral part of the recovery process is rehabilitation. UMC provides physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and social services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
In conjunction with this program, UMC Trauma and Burn Services offers free car seat checks for the public.
Call 806.761.0660 to set up an appointment.
We also periodically host free car seat safety check events for the public. Check our social media pages, or call 806.761.0660 to see when our next safety event is.
We are honored to provide these services to you at no cost.
