Last month, UMC and the American Heart Association hosted the 2018 Lubbock Heart Walk. This year, we raised over $33,000 toward the American Heart Association’s $155,000 goal! All of these funds go directly to research and also help raise awareness—both of which can help put a stop to heart disease, America’s number one killer.
“It’s important to acknowledge and celebrate the people in our community that have been impacted by heart disease… and to build awareness and therefore prevention,” said Denise Sanders, Senior Corporate Market Director, American Heart Association. “This is a great way to do just that.”
Thank you to each of you who donated and participated in this year’s Heart Walk!
