Vaccines for #UMCHeroes

Jan 19th, 2021 | Latest News

This year has been a long fight for all of us. Doctors and nurses are on the frontline with COVID patients, EVS has been working hard to keep our facility clean, staff from the Business and Technology Center have stepped up to help with temp checks at all entrances, and many more employees have helped during this long journey. That’s why when UMC received their first round of the COVID vaccinations – we were overwhelmed with joy!

UMC received our first shipment of the Pfizer vaccine for employees on December 17th.  Earlier this month, we received additional doses for members of Seniors Are Special, with enough to spare for employee family members.

We have administered 5,000 doses of the vaccine! Whereas locations across the country are being questioned as to the amount of vaccine “left on the shelf” ….not so at UMC. Our great team of Nursing Education and Volunteers, Pharmacy, Admitting, and IT are doing a stellar job: getting shots in arms, using every dose allocated, and wasting very little to none. Efficient, safe and always delivered with Service is our Passion.
