  • Employee of the Month

    Dvorak, Ethan

    Ethan Dvorak

    Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

Ethan volunteered to help a patient and his mother navigate using adaptive controllers for Xbox One, as the patient’s goal was to be able to play video games. Ethan took the controllers home to figure them out and went to Best Buy to ask for advice. After research and hard work, Ethan and the patient were able to play video games together! We are grateful for his compassion.

  • Physician of the Month

    Ronald Banister, MD

    Texas Tech Physicians, Anesthesiology

Dr. Banister’s care leaves the greatest impact on people: on patients, on families and on those of us who work with him. We appreciate him, his kindness and the service he provides for our community at UMC.

  • House Staff of the Month

    Shank, Sara

    Sara Shank, MD

    TTUHSC Dept. of Pediatrics

Dr. Shank does much more than just see children in clinic. She does things like organize an art day for a Texas Tech children’s clinic and co-organizing a foster kids night at church. Her dedication helps children see they are far more than a patient. That’s true care.
