UMC EMS has proudly served the City of Lubbock and the surrounding areas since 1975. We are committed to our community’s health and safety through the continuous improvement of our systems and process, just as we have done for over 40 years.

Our EMS System is designed with a patient-focused and customer-centered perspective. Research shows that an EMS System involves more than the common perception of emergency ambulance and first responder services. It incorporates community outreach, medical and system direction and oversight, in addition to clinically sophisticated, evidence-based response and emergency transportation. We ensure the allocation of these resources are directed to provide the greatest benefit to our patients and the community we serve.
