Our mom was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. We met Shelly on the fifth floor where she was moms nurse. Shelly showed so much love to our family and to our mom. Even when released from the fifth floor Shelly went above and beyond, she found where we were and she continued to visit our mom on the other floors bringing her such joy and peace. Mom was sent to a nursing home in Lubbock and when we couldn’t be there Shelly would find a way to go sit with mom. We lost our mom a couple months after being diagnosed with cancer, due to organ failure. Shelly was beside us. She took us to JC Penney and bought our clothes for the funeral. Ms. Shelly is a beautiful angel we love her. We are so thankful and blessed to have had her care for our mom. She went above and beyond. We have never experienced this kind of care and support from any nurse or hospital. Shelly truly is a wonderful lady. We thank God for sending an angel like her.
