Burn Care

UMC’s Timothy J. Harnar Regional Burn Center is one of only four American Burn Association (ABA) verified burn centers in Texas and is one of 47 regional burn centers in the United States.

Cancer Care

Cancer is tenacious, but our purpose is resolute. The UMC Cancer Center in Lubbock, Texas, is a nationally recognized leader in the fight against cancer. Our vision is to eliminate suffering from cancer.

Children’s Hospital

UMC Children's Hospital, part of the Children's Miracle Network, has served our region's children since 1978 with a mission of service to kids and their families. The hospital has grown to meet the expanding need for comprehensive and holistic pediatric care.

Diabetes Prevention and Care Educational Programs

UMC Diabetes Prevention and Care Educational Programs provide you with the tools and resources to learn what diabetes is and how to manage it through various programs and a team to support you through this journey.

Emergency Care

UMC Emergent Care provides immediate medical interventions with a Level 1 Trauma Center, the highest designation by the Texas Department of Health. UMC is about more than saving lives—we provide rehabilitation in our state-of-the-art Burn Center, comfort in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and attentive support to all of our patients.

EMS

UMC EMS has proudly served the City of Lubbock and the surrounding areas since 1975. We are committed to our community's health and safety through the continuous improvement of our systems and process, just as we have done for over 40 years.

Gastroenterology

Our Gastroenterologists specialize in preventing, diagnosing, and treating conditions related to the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. This includes the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, pancreas, and liver.

Kidney Transplant

UMC Health System and UT Southwestern Medical Center have forged a new partnership in kidney transplantation, bringing the strengths of both facilities together, creating a patient-centric culture, and providing an unsurpassed level of innovative and compassionate care.

Laboratory

The UMC Laboratory is dedicated to delivering accurate results for the right test, on the right patient, at the right time. Service is our passion as we strive to serve our patients in the best teaching hospital in the country.

Level 1 Trauma Center

As a Level I Trauma Center, UMC has a fully trained team of staff members in all areas of the hospital ready to respond and care for trauma patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Maternity & Newborn

The mission of Family-Centered Maternity Care is to provide a unique birth experience with an emphasis on quality and compassion in a family-centered environment, all while keeping in mind the goal to achieve a healthy outcome for the whole family.

Neurosurgery

UMC Neurosurgery provides cutting edge treatment, allowing you to receive the neurosurgical care you need, close to home.

Orthopaedic Care

Our Orthopaedics specialists provide treatments for musculoskeletal development, scoliosis, trauma, and other conditions.

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at UMC Health System is a multi-disciplinary team of athletic trainers, exercise specialists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech and language pathologists, and physical therapy assistants providing in-patient and out-patient services throughout the Lubbock area.

Radiology

Our Radiologists specialize in imaging techniques to diagnose medical conditions and provide information important to addressing surgical problems.

Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory therapists are an integral part of UMC Health System’s health care team. Our registered respiratory care practitioners work with patients to assess respiratory issues, and they manage respiratory equipment.

Senior Services

The UMC Seniors Are Special Program focuses on unique ways we can support seniors and their health care needs that go beyond regular clinical services. We offer a variety of services that include education, wellness and recreational activities.

UMC Health & Wellness Hospital

Specializing in out-patient, same-day and limited-stay services, it complements UMC's capabilities, providing essential care for patients requiring less intensive treatment or shorter hospital stays.

UMC Rx Perks

Rx Perks works directly with your UMC provider and is available to UMC patients who are in Lubbock and surrounding counties. The overall goal of this service is to help you understand how to take your medications and to help you afford your medications.

UMC Virtual Care

UMC Health System provides fast, convenient options to fit your immediate minor health care needs. Whether you need a walk-in clinic, a doctor visit in the palm of your hand, or immediate access to your health records, we have ways for you to do it all.

Urgent Care Clinics

Avoid long wait times by visiting one of our same-day Urgent Care clinics available to children and their families, including a 24-hour Urgent Care, a convenient drive-thru clinic, and more!
