UMC Physicians
UMC Physicians, or UMCP, provides our region with more than 20 medical clinics providing care in family medicine, children’s, internal medicine and urgent care, along with specialty clinics such as gastroenterology and neurosurgery. More than 400,000 visits to a UMCP clinic will take place this year in facilities from Wolfforth to Post, including a retail clinic in partnership with the South Plains Mall.
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center
UMC is the primary teaching hospital for the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. UMC has helped Texas Tech train more than 10,000 healthcare professionals and counting.
Texas Tech Physicians are leaders in patient care, education, and research. And Texas Tech Physicians, residents, and students help UMC form a leading medical team that only a teaching hospital can provide. www.ttuhsc.edu/patient-care
UMC, UMCP and the Texas Tech School of Medicine all share a common electronic medical record (EMR). This record provides a firm foundation for upcoming challenges such as accountable care organizations and reimbursement limitations.
