Chad Curry was working on remodeling a bathroom when he realized something wasn’t right. He began experiencing numbness from his shoulders extending out of his arms. As the minutes passed, it got worse.
Chad was referred to UMC Neurosurgery. In a month’s time, he was able to receive a diagnosis and surgery from Dr. Mark D’Alise to remove a herniated disk. As a member of UMC EMS, Chad responds to calls and transports people to receive care every day. But being a patient really put UMC’s passion for care into perspective for him.
