Uncontrolled bleeding is the number one cause of preventable death from trauma. The more everyday people who know how to control bleeding in an injured person, the greater chances of surviving that injury. UMC EMS offers the American College of Surgeons’
Stop the Bleed course to churches, colleges, high schools, civic organizations and businesses throughout Lubbock County. Bystanders learn how to properly control bleeding using their hands, dressings, and tourniquets. Our certified instructors have
