In November, UMC partnered with South Texas Blood & Tissue Center to host an employee blood drive. In just 3 days, employees collected 215 units of blood, with 76 units collected at the UMC Business and Technology Center and 139 collected at the hospital. That is fantastic!
There is currently a shortage of blood and platelets, less than a half-day supply available for patients in area hospitals, so please make a difference this National Blood Donor Month and join our next drive!
