Breast Biopsies and Needle Localizations

Following a mammogram and/or ultrasound, radiologists at the Breast Imaging Center at UMC may recommend needle localizations or breast biopsy.

Screening and Diagnostic Mammograms

Annual Breast Screening Mammograms are essential to early detection. According to the American Cancer Society, early screening saves lives.

UMC Breast Imaging Center is now accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence! This means:

Our facility has voluntarily gone through a vigorous review process to ensure that we meet nationally-accepted standards of care.
Our personnel are well qualified, through education and certification, to perform medical imaging, interpret your images, and administer your radiation therapy treatments.
