UMC Family Medicine at Freedom Clinic has been serving the community since February 1993. Robert Martinez, FNP-C has been caring for patients since the very beginning of Freedom Clinic. Benita Hernandez, FNP-C joined Freedom Clinic in November 2020. She came over from UMC’s Emergency Center where she had worked since 2014.
The clinic serves all patients from birth on. We provide services for the Texas Health Steps Program, accept Medicare and Medicaid and accept most commercial insurances. This family medicine clinic also accepts walk-ins on most days. Freedom cares deeply for our community. We provide “Service with a Passion!”
