We are so proud of UMC EMS for, once again, achieving the Accredited Center of Excellence (ACE) award!
This honor, given initially in 2017, has been renewed this year and is a testament to UMC EMS’ continued commitment to excellence.
The award is bestowed by the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) after they thoroughly review our EMS call center’s job performance. In this reevaluation, we needed to meet or exceed the same standards as the initial accreditation, which required participation from everyone in the department.
“Our communications center’s distinction as an Accredited Center of Excellence is a testament to our philosophy, and a beacon for the exemplary job the men and women in our center do each day,” said Thomas Moore, Director of UMC EMS.
UMC EMS’ communications center is only one of 180 in the world to receive this accreditation, so this is a big deal!
