Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center

UMC is the primary teaching hospital for the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. UMC has helped Texas Tech train more than 10,000 healthcare professionals and counting.

Texas Tech Health Sciences Center is a leader in patient care, education, and research. And Texas Tech Physicians, residents and students help UMC form an innovative, research based medical team that only a teaching hospital can provide.

UMC Physicians

UMC Physicians, provides our region with more than 30 medical clinics including Family Medicine, Children’s, Internal Medicine and Urgent Care, along with specialty clinics such as Cardiology, Gastroenterology, and Neurosurgery.

More than 400,000 visits to a UMC Physicians clinic will take place this year in facilities not only within Lubbock, but also in Idalou, Post, Slaton and Wolfforth.
