Letters of Legacy

Mr. Funderburk:

My wife, Marti H. Jones, was admitted to your hospital April 26 and passed away May 22 of this year. She received care and attention from your staff, which far exceeded anything I could have expected.

It dawned on me that they all have a personnel file in which a favorable review could be permanently attached to. The positive actions that went to making my wife more comfortable are too numerous to mention individually. Nurses were very attentive and helpful; they stopped by to check on her after their shift somewhere else was over and some even on their days off; they were open about praying for her; and they were aggressively involved in attempting to mitigate Marti’s pain for which I am eternally grateful.

I am told that you will be able to identify these nurses by their first names and their locations. Please note that the following nurses deserve to be commended for their attitudes, actions, and concern regarding the well-being of my wife.

MICU: Jon Michael, Vanessa, Mellissa, Courtney, Lexi, Josh, Clarissa and Charge Nurse Samantha.

5 West: Yasmin, Erin, Lori, Halei, Michelle, Elizabeth, Kori, Brittany, Shelby, Kelsey, Junior, Emily (nurse), Emily (aide), Eden, Casy, Keith, Cindu, Camica, Stormi, Courtney, Wesley, Christina, Jamie and Stephanie

Food Service: Reginald

These people and those on the 3rd floor made a horrible experience so much better than it could have been I hope you have some way to recognize their efforts.

Ross D. Jones
