Award Type: Spirit of Service

Brian Kendall – Attending of the Month – November 2021

Dr. Kendall is one of the best physicians we have in the EC and is a fan favorite to work with. He has been incredibly helpful with seeing patients and working to discharge them home in a timely manner. He is an advocate for both patients and nurses. We’re so glad he is part of our team.

Mary Etheridge – Employee of the Month – November 2021

A young mom was admitted for COVID and was anxious to get home to her 5-month-old baby. The patient had the family’s only car and her husband had run out of necessary items without a way to get more. Mary heard of this and quickly went to the store to pick up the needed items as well as special treats for the other children. Mary is an example to us all of selflessness, generosity, and love, even to a stranger.

Rose Martinez – Employee of the Month – October 2021

While walking through the lobby, Rose noticed a man looking frazzled. He was trying to fill out a questionnaire for his evaluation and his English was limited. Being bilingual, Rose took the time to explain all the instructions in Spanish. Even though this took some time out of her busy day, Rose was happy to help!

Hannah Reynolds – Employee of the Month – September 2021

A patient was spending their birthday in the hospital, and Hannah was determined to make them feel special. Hannah gathered the staff and entered the room with birthday hats while singing to the patient. They also had a huge card with all of their signatures. The patient had a wonderful day and was so grateful!

Mark D’Alise – Attending of the Month – August 2021

Dr. D’Alise was prompt in responding to a nurse call regarding questions about a procedure. When he arrived to assess the patient, Dr. D’Alise took the time to educate the primary nurse and the charge nurse about the procedure and when to alert the provider. This extra time taken to educate nursing staff ensures competent care for the patient. We are glad to work with Dr. D’Alise!
