Trauma Rehabilitation and Support

Two integral pieces of the recovery process for the injured patient are rehabilitation and support.

As a Level I Trauma Center, UMC is committed to beginning the recovery process upon admission.

UMC provides physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and social services in both in-patient and out-patient settings. And our partnership with South Plains Rehabilitation Hospital allows us to transfer patients to an outstanding inpatient rehabilitation facility, if necessary.

Trauma Support

Trauma Survivors and their families are celebrated for their bravery and hard-fought battles through life-changing injuries and recovery. This event also gives the healthcare providers the opportunity to see their importance in the community and celebrate success stories. The Annual trauma survivors event is held in conjunction with the South Plains EMS Conference.
