2022 UMC Employee Banquet- 007: Sky is the Limit

Earlier this month we celebrated our milestone employees with a James Bond-themed employee banquet, and we were thrilled to be able to host it in person this year! The dedication our employees show to their work, our patients, and the community is unmatched. Honoring them for their years of service is the least we can do for them.

PHIL Award – Show Your Love to Our Respiratory Therapists

The PHIL Award is a program we are implementing to honor our incredible Respiratory Therapists. Much like our DAISY award for nurses, the PHIL award will be based off of YOUR nominations of respiratory therapists who are going above and beyond in their patient care.

UMC Passion in Action

While actively volunteering in our community is not new for UMC employees, our Passion in Action program to better support employees in being active in the community is! We are grateful for everything you do, and we want to be sure you have the tools you need to connect to opportunities.

A Santa Fe Soirée- 2022 UMC Gala

UMC celebrates another successful Gala put on by the UMC Foundation. This year, we raised $450,050 directly benefiting the UMC Cancer Center. This Santa Fe Soirée secured 33 NEW Gala Underwriters this year with help from our Underwriting Committee.

UMC Clinic Spotlight: UMC Family Medicine at Freedom Clinic

UMC Family Medicine at Freedom Clinic has been serving the community since February 1993. Robert Martinez, FNP-C has been caring for patients since the very beginning of Freedom Clinic. Benita Hernandez, FNP-C joined Freedom Clinic in November 2020. She came over from UMC’s Emergency Center where she had worked since 2014.

UMC Cares

As we move into the winter season, we know how hectic West Texas roads can get when it snows. This is why UMC implemented the 4x4 program a few years back to help UMC employees get to work safely during icy conditions.
