Student Nurse Opportunities

Students are encouraged to review the current available positions on the umchealthsystem.com website. Nursing students are eligible to seek work as a Nursing Assistant following successful completion of the 1st nursing semester in which clinical time is included. The student must have a nursing instructor complete the Nurse Aide Checklist and mail it to the Nursing Recruitment office.

Nursing Students that have completed their second nursing semester with clinical time included are eligible to apply for a Nurse Tech position. The student must have a nursing instructor complete the Nurse Tech Checklist and mail it to the Nursing Recruitment Office.

To apply for an opening as a Nursing Assistant or Nurse Tech, an opening must be present for either a Nursing Assistant or Nurse Tech (on-call position) on the UMC job opportunities website.

Application Process:

• Submit application for employment
• Have your nursing instructor complete the Nurse Aide or the Nurse Tech checklist based upon the semester completed within your nursing program.
• Provide a copy of your current transcript, which includes a cumulative GPA
• Return completed Nurse Aide or Nurse Tech checklist and college transcript to the following address:
