UMC and UMCP Continue to be Best Companies to Work for in Texas
We are so proud to announce that UMC and UMC Physicians (UMCP) ranked in the top 10 of the best places to work in Texas. The list is made up of 100 companies, and UMC ranked 8th place, while UMCP ranked 1st!
2021 Lubbock Heart Walk
On October 16, UMC Health System participated in the 2021 Lubbock Heart Walk. Located at Mackenzie Park, the walk is a way to raise heart health awareness and to help fundraise for research and technology needed to advance heart care.
Extra Life – Play Games, Heal Kids
This year marks the 13th year, UMC has participated in Extra Life’s National Game Day, which helps raise money for the UMC Children’s Hospital. This year so far, thanks to everyone who participated, we have raised just over $9,000 and will continue to raise money throughout the year!
UMC Cancer Center Earns National Accreditation
UMC is proud to announce the UMC Cancer Center has been re-granted a three-year National Accreditation from the Commission on Cancer!
CMN Miracle Kid Spotlight
In the summer of 2017, Addyson Newberry began experiencing pain in her right hip. By November, the pain worsened and her mom, Kyra, an NICU nurse at UMC, contacted Dr. Michel Diab, Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon.
About UMC Nurse Practitioners
The 2020 recognition of National Nurse Practitioner Week is celebrated November 8-14. This is a time to honor the critical role of nurse practitioners (NPs) in championing the health of our nation.
UMCP Clinic Spotlight: UMC Pediatric Associates of Lubbock (PALs)
The UMC Pediatric Associates of Lubbock (PALs) is the only UMCP pediatric clinic that has been in practice since 1996. Specializing in pediatric care, the clinic offers primary care by appointment and acute care through walk-in visits. The Staff at UMC PALs strives to create a calm environment for kids, and serve the children in our community in the best ways possible.
