2020 UMC Annual Report

UMC Health System is here to serve you. Never has that privilege been clearer than it is now. As we re-open for elective procedures and clinic visits…at our hospital or one of our UMCP clinics, our resolve remains to keep you and your loved ones safe.

Celebrating our Doctors

Due to COVID-19 our Doctor’s Day lunch celebration looked a little different this year. But one thing remains the same: we wanted to let them know how much we appreciate them!

Eleven Years of Partners in Education

With the help of UMC EMS and YOU, UMC successfully delivered 115 food bags to Brown Elementary School before they let out for Spring Break.

Advanced Practice Provider Spotlight: Matt Pringle

Advanced Practice Providers, or APPs, are medical providers, such as Nurse Practitioners or Physician’s Assistants, who are trained and educated similarly to physicians.

EMS Recognition

We are so proud of UMC EMS for, once again, achieving the Accredited Center of Excellence (ACE) award!

You Make a Difference

A couple of articles ago, you read about the difference you are making in our community. We have received many forms of communication that prove you truly are making a difference! One of these is the below UMC Childcare testimonial…

UMC’s 2020 Retention Bonus

To be the employer of choice, we must continually re-recruit you— the most valuable asset of UMC. Why? Because talent always has a choice. And we want your choice to be UMC for the rest of your career.

UMC Heroes

During this crisis in particular, we want to recognize and extend our heartfelt gratitude to you for your flexibility, bravery, compassion and dedication. Each and every one of you are #umcheroes! You have amazed us with your ability to take on new tasks and a new temporary norm.

Always Nurse Celebration

Twice a year, we host a celebration for our Always Nurses: nurses perceived as always responsive and communicating well, as indicated on patient surveys—our first event of 2020 was in February.

Pampering our Patients

Our Radiation Oncology waiting area was recently renovated to make cancer patients more comfortable during their radiation treatment visits. The space has now become less clinical and more of a soothing, spa-like experience.

Congrats to another 40-year employee
